Only in the Yukon: High Noon at the Klondike
Chris, who comments here occasionally, is the photographer. Not only do you get a better idea of ice fog in his photo, you can see how high the sun is around noon during these dark midwinter days. Chris informs me that this photo was taken at 2pm, but that's still noonish here, since our solar noon is about 1pm.
The S.S. Klondike is one of the old paddleboats that used to go from Whitehorse to Dawson. It's now on permanent shore duty down by the river, where it's open for touring from late May until early September.
